Are you interested in supporting adults in Sheffield?
During the coronavirus pandemic it is more important than ever that we keep people safe and supported. To do this, we need your help at this critical time to support adults in a range of care settings across the city.
In this role, you will be providing personal care, practical support and be able to follow a plan, to maximise independence for each adult. You should also have good customer service skills, which include displaying sensitivity and tolerance with customers, be able to listen actively and have good overall communication skills – written and verbal.
As part of this city-wide service, we operate between 7am – 10pm, 7 days a week. This will include weekend working and may include split shifts in a day. You can tell us the hours of work that suit you best. There is also an opportunity to work on standby. You will be paid at an enhanced rate for unsociable hours. As you may be asked to drive a Council vehicle, an ability to drive is essential.
We particularly welcome people with experience and qualifications in care. We will provide full training and support for those with the right approach to working with our customers.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. Successful candidates are to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
We value our diverse workforce and aim to work together to make the most of our differences. We welcome applications from everyone. Under the Disability Confident Scheme, disabled applicants, who meet the essential criteria of this job, are guaranteed an interview.
If you are caring, able to work independently and are looking for immediate casual work to support you with your current income, or just keen to do your bit to help adults in Sheffield then please apply now by emailing your CV and our declaration form to email@example.com
We understand you may have questions about the job, hours or how to apply. Michelle Glossop from Adult Social Care is available to speak to you, so do get in touch with her for a chat on the number listed on this page.
