The Strategy & Commissioning Service are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the service as an Assistant Commissioning Officer. 

As Assistant Commissioning Officer you will support the work of Commissioning Officers in producing and organising information and reports, collating tracking and monitoring data within the Education Childcare & Commissioning Team. This is to ensure that Sheffield meets its statutory duty by ensuring that there are sufficient education and childcare places across the city for Children and young people aged 0-18 yrs.

In supporting this area of work you will have to be pro-active and also work with a range of stakeholders including schools, childcare providers and other professionals in other service areas. 

The successful candidate will be based as part of a new commissioning team. Successful candidates may come from a range of backgrounds. 

An experience of Customer service skills to meet the needs of internal and external customers of Sheffield City Council, with an ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team is required.  In addition, the ability to prioritise and organise work to meet the conflicting needs of the service area to meet service objectives, whilst having the ability to use IT, in particular Microsoft Office applications are equally important.
