The Big City Conversation header

We’ve launched The Big City Conversation across Sheffield.  Over 3,000 people have already told us about the things that matter to them - and there's still a chance for you to get involved if you want too.  Our online survey is open until 14th February.

We want to hear from as many people as possible - all ages and backgrounds, from every part of Sheffield, about the issues that affect you, your communities and your city.  The online survey takes just a few minutes and asks you about how you want to tell us (and partners who work with us) about the things you need, the things that affect you, and how you feel you can influence decisions around these issues.

We’ve held lots of events all over Sheffield in the last couple of months, including in the Moor Market, the Town Hall, Fargate, the Market Place at Crystal Peaks, Asda stores in Handsworth and Parsons Cross, the Hillsborough Exchange, Sainsbury's on Archer Road, the Woodhouse Forum, Fox Valley and St James Retail Parks.  At these events, our councillors, Cabinet Members and employees spoke to hundreds of people and got some great feedback on things about Sheffield.

As our main events have now finished, we've put out some feedback boxes around the city so you can post anything you'd like to tell us in one of those.  You can find the feedback boxes in libraries,  Howden House, Housing First Points, Sheffield MINDHeeley City Farm, Shipshape, Reach, the Carers centre, Tinsley Forum, Arbourthorne centre, Family centres (including Highfield, Darnall, Early Days at Southey,  First Start at Firth Park, Valley park,  Primrose at Walkley, and Shortbrook), Centre in the Park at Norfolk Park, Star House, Stannington Community Centre, Grenoside Community Centre, Stocksbridge Town Council, Stocksbridge Leisure Centre, Joseph Stone Centre and Com.unity in Westfield.

If you didn't get to an event or you can't post into one of the feedback boxes detailed above, then you can complete our online survey (until 14 February) if you want to give us some feedback on the things you love about our city and the things you don’t, and importantly what we can do to make it better for you.

As part of the Big City Conversation, the Council’s cross-party Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee are working with the Deputy Leader to look at different approaches to how the Council makes decisions. If you’d like more information on this work, please contact scrutiny@sheffield.gov.uk
