We need foster carers for local children of all ages who, for whatever reason, need someone else to look after them.

Can I foster? Yes, if you…

  • are over 21
  • have experience of caring for children
  • rent or own a home with a spare room
  • are single, married, divorced or living with a partner
  • are working, not working or retired

Who needs foster care?

  • children aged 0 to 18
  • siblings
  • teenage parents with children
  • children with additional needs
  • children needing weekend and holiday care

Our pay and support package

  • starting salary of £257 - £379 per week for level one carers (dependent on the age of the child that they care for)
  • additional allowances including payments for special occasions
  • mileage allowance
  • local training and support activities

  • support groups for you and your family

Information evenings

One of the first steps on your fostering journey is to come to one of our online fostering information evenings.  We have them every month on zoom. Once you book onto a date that suits you, we'll send you the zoom login details so you can find out more about fostering with us, talk to some of our foster carers and ask members of our team any questions. 

Information packs

We need foster carers for Sheffield children of all ages who, for whatever reason, need someone else to look after them. This can be anything from a regular overnight stay to giving a child a permanent home, or something in between.
