Green bins (garden waste)

We can collect your garden waste (using a green bin) fortnightly between April and November. 

There is a charge for this service, you can pay by Debit or Credit Card.

We will recycle your garden waste including grass cuttings, hedge and plant clippings, leaves and pruning's.

Take garden waste to a Recycling Centre

You can take your garden waste for free to any of the 5 Household Waste Recycling Centres located across the city or by home composting.

Compost bins for garden and kitchen waste

Recycle garden and kitchen waste, like vegetable and fruit peelings, tea bags and egg shells, into compost for your garden using a home compost bin.

Dispose of pesticides

Take pesticides to Blackstock Road Household Waste Recycling Centre.

This facility is open to residents of Sheffield only. Anyone taking such items to Blackstock should contact a site attendant on site on their arrival for assistance.
