We run certified level 2 (or 'basic') food hygiene training courses. The aim is to ensure that everyone involved in a food business, from junior staff to senior management, possess skills and knowledge to prevent food poisoning. This can give you a more efficient and cost effective business.
The course is specifically aimed at all food handlers employed in production, manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, catering and retail outlets. The training will also benefit managers, supervisors and proprietors of food businesses.
The candidate will develop an understanding of the basic principles of food hygiene, including:
The course duration is six hours usually split into two afternoons and there is a written examination at the end.
All successful candidates will receive a nationally accredited Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering issued by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
Successful candidates gain nationally recognised CIEH qualification and certificate

From time to time we are able to offer courses taught in Chinese, Urdu and Bengali. These are only available where the candidate has English language difficulties. If you are interested in a course in one of these languages then please call the above number.
