Working with families
When we work with families we need to gather information about everyone in the family to help us understand your needs and make sure you get the best service possible. Sometimes we have to report some of your information, such as your name or date of birth, to our funders.
We respect your privacy and will process any data you give us fairly and lawfully. By processing data, we mean the collecting, using, sharing, retaining and disposing of it. You can view and download our Privacy Notice.

Personal data about children and young people
A copy of ‘How we use your information’ is given to all children aged 12 and over and their parents/carers (if a child is under 12 then the information is sent just to their parents/carers).
The information states that we hold personal data about children and young people who we provide services to. We use this data to:
- support children and young people and monitor their progress
- provide appropriate support and care
- assess how well we are doing
This data includes personal details (such as age and gender) and information about the services we provide. We are required to share some of this data with the Department for Education (DfE) who use it to develop policy and monitor our performance. The names of individual children and young people are not passed on.
Privacy notice for free early learning providers & children's centres
When you access early years services you may give us certain information about you and your family. With your consent this information may then be shared with partner agencies to ensure you are getting all the services and support you are entitled to.
To ensure the privacy of your information and to let you know about your information rights as well as how your information may be used, we have produced some documents so you can find out more.
