Sheffield’s 0-19+ Partnership has been in place since 2002 and brings together partners from across the city. We believe that by working together, we can develop improved services for children and young people.
The board is an influencing body raising awareness of and tackling issues affecting young people.
It is chaired by a young person, with another young person as vice-chair, supported by another member of the board.
We hold 4 meetings per year, with each meeting focusing on a topic that has been identified as a priority by children and young people in Sheffield.
Every Child Matters (ECM) & Make Your Mark
Our choice of topics is influenced by the Every Child Matters (ECM) Survey and the Make Your Mark campaign.
The ECM survey asks children and young people in Y2, Y5, Y7 and Y10 their thoughts on a wide variety of subjects, and over 80 schools take part.
The Make Your Mark campaign is the Youth Parliament’s annual ballot which invites votes from 11 to 18 year olds on a variety of issues to determine which 5 are to be debated in the House of Commons and used by the Youth Parliament for their campaigns for the year ahead.
Sheffield makes a significant contribution to the number of responses nationally.
