The Walking for Purpose project offers people the opportunity to gain new skills whilst being active through walking. We will meet you at a local venue where our friendly, approachable team will walk with you to different training providers, employability skills workshops and workplaces. Walking for Purpose is open for anyone who is unemployed, over the age of 16 and is free to attend.
We are currently working with organisations including Darnall Wellbeing, The Terminus Initiative and Zest. Participants will attend workshops delivered by Voluntary Action Sheffield, Learn Direct and the Suit works. If any organisations or businesses would like to be involved in the project, please get in touch.
Walks take place on the following days:
- Tuesdays at Lowedges Community Centre starting at 12.30 pm
- Thursdays at Darnall Wellbeing starting at 10.30 am
- Fridays at Sheffield Town Hall (City Centre) starting at 10.00 am
If you know anyone who would benefit from the project please contact us for more information on how to refer into the project.
