You can view all of our planning applications online, if the application is live then you may also be able to comment on this. Before commenting on an application there are some things you need to know.
Comments have to be made public, so in confidence and anonymous comments will not be considered.
We will publish your comments along with your name and address. There are some exceptions where we can accept anonymous comments.
When you comment on a planning application we will publish your name and address on our website. This is to demonstrate your interest in a planning application because the process is transparent and open.
We do remove your email address, telephone number and signature from any comments or documents that we receive.
If you have a specific reason why you do not want your name and address displaying on our website, for example if you are subject to harassment, then please contact us.
Only comment on planning matters
Make sure you only comment on planning matters (information not related to planning will not be considered):
- don't make any comment about the applicant or other interested parties. Abusive or racist comments will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to remove any inappropriate comment
- don't use the online comments facility as a forum to exchange views
- we reserve the right to close your account if we determine that you are not using the service appropriately
The planning history contained within the site may be incomplete. It is not intended, and must not be used, as a substitute for carrying out a formal land charge search.
We accept no responsibility for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained using Planning Applications Online (Public Access).
Planning application information submitted to us is protected by the Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1998).
You may only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans.
Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner.
When you comment on a planning application online, your comment, name and address will appear on our website.
We will not publish any personal telephone numbers, email addresses and signatures. In the unlikely event of these items being mistakenly published please contact us and we will correct it straight away.
