Sheffield's beautiful Winter Gardens and Peace Gardens have won countless awards since they have been opened. We have also received the 'Green Flag Award' for several of our parks throughout the city. 

Peace Gardens Awards

The awards that the Peace Gardens have won to date are:

  • The Royal Institute of British Architects Award (RIBA) – national and regional
  • The Royal Town Planning Institute Award (RTPI)
  • Fountain of the Year
  • Best Landscape Design in The Natural Stone Awards
  • Local Government News, Street Scene Award
  • Green Flag Award
  • Civic Trust Award
  • Yorkshire and Humberside Chapter of the Landscape Institute voted the Gardens the most influential landscape design in the region in the last 30 years

Winter Garden Awards

The awards that the Winter Garden has won to date are:

  • winner of Exposed Magazine Cultural Attraction 2015
  • Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Pro Yorkshire Award for Design and Innovation
  • Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Award, with the Millennium Galleries
  • The Variety Club of Great Britain – Best Regeneration Award
  • Royal Fine Art Commission ‘Jue D’esprit Building of the Year’ Award
  • British Guild of Travel Writers – Commendation
  • Green Flag Award
