Residential Child Care Practitioner x 6
We have a number of new residential child care practitioner vacancies at Mather Road, Malon Way and Morland Drive residential children's homes in Sheffield and one waking night post at Mather Road. We are looking for caring individuals who are emotionally resilient and are able to provide support in a safe and stimulating environment to children in care to enable them to live a happy, healthy life, safe from harm and fulfil their potential.
Advanced Social Work Practitioner
We are increasing the number of advanced social work practitioners in our fieldwork services as part of our workforce strategy to ensure that every team has mixture of newly qualified, experienced and advanced social workers. You will be managed by an experienced senior manager who will offer you reflective supervision. Registered Children's Home Manager x 2
We are looking to appoint experienced and motivated Registered Home Managers at Malon Way and Gibson House to support and drive the service forward, promoting and delivering the highest possible standard of care to vulnerable children. Acting as the senior professional person within the staff team, you will ensure that all aspects of care and support delivered are compliant with current legislation and that high quality care is embedded within the culture of the team.
Assistant Home Manager
As the Assistant Homes manager of Morland Drive Residential Children's Home you will manage the day-to-day operations and ensure that the home meets the Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards. You will need a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare of equivalent with a minimum of two years experience in a related setting and knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and guidance procedures.
Social Worker x 5
We are looking to recruit five newly qualified social workers to work in our front line children and families fieldwork teams across Sheffield. We have an exceptional ASYE offer which includes one to one support from a social work consultant in addition to support from a line manager, a phased protected low caseload over the 12 month ASYE programme, study days, networking sessions and master classes provided by social work experts in addition to a specific newly qualified social work training pathway.
Experienced Social Worker x 3
We are looking to recruit experienced social workers, preferably with three years post qualification experience in frontline fieldwork services, court report writing and giving evidence in court, S47 investigations and undertaking complex casework. We are committed to reasonable caseload numbers, working in a small teams of six social workers, supervised by an experienced senior manager.

Our goal is to consistently place the child at the centre of our social work practice and to design and provide services that reflect the child’s voice and are appropriate to their level of unmet need.
To make sure that we deliver the best possible outcomes for children, we want to ensure that we recruit and retain the best possible social workers. In return, we will make sure that they are rewarded.
Our social workers are located in small teams of 6 across the city, managed and supported by a range of highly trained social work professionals, with newly qualified social workers having dedicated 1:1 social work consultant support to ensure they gain their fitness to practice certificate. Caseloads are maintained at a reasonable level and all social workers receive high quality reflective supervision from their senior fieldwork manager.
Social work is a leadership profession in which you’ll need to inspire, persuade and bring out the best in diverse groups of people. To help our social workers develop those skills they will benefit from our bespoke CPD and leadership development programmes with additional masterclasses which have been carefully designed with our partner Russell Group University to support them to work with purpose in a range of challenging settings to bring about change. We have clear social work and management training and career pathways.
We are currently expanding our workforce to include additional Advanced Social Work Practitioners and Contact Liaison Officers who will provide a consistent contact point for families, carers and professionals allowing social workers to concentrate on more direct work out in the community.
