We are seeking to recruit an Educational Support Worker to work with post 16 students with special educational needs and or disabilities.

You will be joining a team working across a wide spectrum of need and we would welcome applicants with experience in any area of this work.

Our organisational base is at Sheaf Training Centre though the students may be placed in education settings throughout the city and therefore ability to drive is desirable. We are passionate about personalised and inclusive education and aim to provide our students with a rewarding and productive education tailored to their individual needs.

You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team of enthusiastic staff that includes therapeutic support for students as well as pathways to employment and further education. We are committed to investing in our staff and there will be opportunities for staff development and to gain experience in supporting students across a spectrum of impairments in many settings.

We particularly welcome applications from disabled candidates and black and minority ethnic candidates as they are under-represented in this service.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment.  All successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.

We are committed to fairness and social justice and welcome applications from everyone. We value our diverse workforce and aim to work together to make the most of our differences. Under the Disability Confident Scheme, disabled applicants, who meet the essential criteria of this job, are guaranteed an interview.
