Facilities Management is a service going through significant change to ensure that it can deliver first class services to support the accommodation requirements of Sheffield City Council (SCC).

The Team delivers numerous activities to ensure that buildings and assets are Clean, Warm, Safe, Dry and Fit for Purpose through internal teams or contract partners. It provides services across the Sheffield region and in various types of buildings for all the Authorities Portfolios and Teams.

To assist with this we have 3 exciting opportunities for individuals who are looking for a challenge and an opportunity to develop their skills in an area of change.

The roles will require the successful candidate to operate across a number of key site/schools to deliver with your own staff or monitor partner providers’ activity to ensure effective service provision for the organisations that rely on us for their ability to function for the wider community and school children of Sheffield.

You will need to be enthusiastic, confident, well organised, an effective communicator with experience in Facilities Management service delivery, building technical services review, risk assessment and project/move management. You will need a knowledge of facility related health and safety, statutory testing and have the ability to monitor staff/contractor performance to ensure your success. Experience in the successful use of IT systems to improve your activity as well as excellent customer liaison skills will enable you to deliver on a wide range set of objectives required in the post.

You should be aware that the service is continuing to go through change and in the near future the impact of this redesign may mean the role is developed and changed in its scope and area of responsibility which will be managed in the normal appropriate SCC change process.
