Every year the amount of rubbish we produce increases. The problem of what to do with the waste we produce is worldwide but the people of Sheffield can make a difference through their own actions.
You can reduce, reuse and recycle at any of our Household Waste Recycling Centres, recycling sites or by donating to local charities such as St Vincent’s.
You can recycle paper, card, glass, cans and plastic bottles by using your blue bin and box.
Sheffield residents can use our Household Waste Recycling Centres to dispose of:

- furniture, including sofas, beds and mattresses
- electrical equipment, including fridges, freezers, TVs, light bulbs and batteries

As well as our large household waste recycling centres we have lots of smaller recycling sites throughout Sheffield located in supermarket car parks, leisure centres and in pub car parks. Veolia provides a map of all the recycling sites in Sheffield.
CCTV operates at these bring sites to monitor misuse for potential enforcement purposes.
