We will then recycle your garden waste including grass cuttings, hedge and plant clippings, leaves and prunings.

Take garden waste to a Recycling Centre

You can take your garden waste for free to any of the 5 Household Waste Recycling Centres located across the city.

Compost bins for garden and kitchen waste

Recycle garden and kitchen waste, like vegetable and fruit peelings, tea bags and egg shells, into compost for your garden using a home compost bin. Home compost bins are available from most garden and diy stores but you may also be able to find these cheaper online - for more information please refer to the links in 'Supporing information'.

Bonfires and burning garden waste

If you are thinking of having a bonfire or burning your garden waste please make sure you read about 'Smoke nuisance' first in 'Supporting information'.

Disposal of pesticides

Take pesticides to Blackstock Road Household Waste Recycling Centre.

This facility is open to residents of Sheffield only. Anyone taking such items to Blackstock should contact a site attendant on site on their arrival for assistance.
