Apprenticeship programme for businesses

Sheffield 100 Apprenticeships Scheme

We have set up a new Apprenticeship Programme to help 100 young people in Sheffield into sustainable employment.

We are asking employers in the city to provide an apprenticeship opportunity to a young person who is more likely to fall out of education, employment or training and is in need of support. The employers will be offered a contribution to the cost of supporting the apprentice over the training period, which could last up to two years.

Apprenticeships provide employers with the opportunity to train young people with the skills they require for their business, as well as the young person gaining valuable work experience. The programme will support local employers, increase skills levels and give new employment opportunities.
