The following shows the breakdown of the 1756 responses received to the Your Council, Your Say questionnaire. Responses from both the paper and online surveys are included.
Question 1.
Sheffield needs to reduce its carbon footprint (the amount of carbon we produce as a result of energy consumption). Which of the following do you think is most important for the Council to do? (please tick one or more boxes)

On question 3, respondents were asked to select only one option.
20% of respondents to Question 3 indicated they already took steps to reduce energy use. This has been categorised as "Already taking action".
Question 4.
Sheffield is considering setting up its own carbon offsetting scheme. This is a voluntary scheme where you would pay money to make up for the damaging greenhouse gases you produce when you are at home, at work, or travelling. The money would be used to fund renewable energy projects, including solar power, wind turbines, environmental clean-ups, and planting trees. If Sheffield was to set up its own scheme, should the money be used to fund projects (please tick just one box)
