One outcome of the Project Assessment Workshop will be a completed Project Assessment Matrix. This will help you understand the level of risk facing your project. You can use this with the Project Manager's Checklist to identify those things you must do.
It is not exhaustive but shows the key tasks, reviews and documents that form a basis for effective control of projects. The Project Manager's Checklist is not a substitute for the guidance notes. For example, the check list does not explicitly refer to stakeholder analysis, but this analysis will form an essential part of the Business Case, PID and Communications Plan.
