Planning

There are a number of plans that are produced in the delivery of a project. These are constantly updated as any changes or developments occur. Sometimes things happen quicker or slower than we expect so our plans must change to deal with these differences.

This section introduces the following plans:

  • Project Plans: This is the overall plan for the delivery schedule of the project.
  • Stage Plans: Projects are often broken down into stages, and depending on the complexity of the scheme, it may make sense to have a separate plan for a stage.
  • Quality Plans: Quality is subjective, you must decide what level of quality you expect for your project and communicate this to the other project members.
  • Communication Plans: Who needs to be informed of events, when and what nature should this communication take?

The next section introduces the most important and highest level plan, the Project Plan.
