Community Profiling
Sheffield City Council’s community profiling project is now completed. The Council commissioned this to identify key experiences, views and aspirations of Black and Minority Ethnic communities, particularly with regard to community cohesion and provision of, education, housing, health, policing and other services in the city.
The profiles are about the African, African Caribbean, Bangladeshi, Chinese, Eastern European, Indian, Irish, Kurdish/Middle Eastern, Mixed Race, Pakistani, Somali and Yemeni. This information base is about the city’s Black and Minority Ethnic communities, which Sheffield hasn’t had before. It will help Councillors, Council officers, Sheffield First partnership boards, voluntary community and faith sector organisations and other agencies; to plan future services to better meet the needs of Sheffield’s BME communities.
