Thank you to everyone who took part in our consultation and gave us their views on whether Sheffield should have a Council Leader or an elected Mayor. In total, over 700 people took part in the consultation and 69 percent were in favour of a new style Leader and Cabinet.

 

 

The results of the consultation along with information about both options and recommendations from officers and Cabinet were presented to Council on Wednesday 4 November. As a result, the Council agreed to publish proposals for the new style Leader and Cabinet.

Councillors will decide whether or not to go ahead and adopt the proposals at a Special Council meeting on 2 December.
