Compact Codes of Practice and Disputes Procedure
The Compact highlights three key areas of priority, as follows:
- Information exchange, communications and consultation
- Funding resources and support
- Strategic co-operation
For each of these areas a code of practice and guidance has been produced for funding, consultation and partnership working. These documents were launched in August 2002, following a long period of consultation within the wider City Council and the local voluntary and community sectors.
These documents help to achieve the principles and objectives agreed in the Compact document. There is also an agreed Disputes Procedure, which aims to resolve conflicts that arise when practice contradicts the principles of the Compact. These documents are available at the bottom of this page.
