Sheffield's Electoral Ward Boundaries

Ward boundaries
For electoral purposes the City of Sheffield is divided into 28 geographical areas called wards.

A review of the size of the wards was carried out in 2004 to standardise the size of them and establish that, where possible, every city Councillor represents the same number of residents. This will ensure that everyone's vote carries the same weight in local elections.

By selecting on the links on the left you can access maps showing the ward boundaries.

The names of the ward boundaries may not correlate exactly with the names of areas as area names and boundaries change over time.  If you are unsure which ward you are in please contact us.

A copy of the Order made by the Electoral Commission can be viewed at  Her Majesty's Stationery Office.

The current boundaries of the electoral wards and divisions can be viewed at Ordnance Survey's website and these will be updated when the new boundaries come into force at the next local government election.
