Cancel my Single Person Discount

If you are the only adult living your home, you may be able to claim a single person discount. This is a 25% reduction on your Council Tax bill.
 
If you are no longer the only adult living in your home, because someone is living there with you or your child has reached the age of 18, you must report this immediately to the Council Tax office.

You will find your eight digit account reference number on your Council Tax bill. 
(This number will start with 7 or 8) 
 
If you have recently moved into your new home and not yet received a Council Tax reference number, please leave this blank.

The address of the property where the single person discount is to be cancelled
If we have a query in processing your information, we may need to speak to you. Please provide a daytime telephone number where you can be contacted.

This is the date when you stopped being the only adult living in the property, or 
If you have recently moved into your new home, this will be your occupation start date,or 
If you have a child who has reached 18 years, it will be their birthdate.


If you are ceasing a discount because someone has recently moved into your household, or your child is now 18 years old please provide the following information.
