I Wish To Complain

Whilst we hope that we are providing you with a good service we recognise that sometimes we get it wrong. We welcome all kinds of feedback from you, our customers. Whilst we use your complaint to make long-term developments to our service, it is important that your immediate problem is sorted as soon as possible.

The first thing we need to do is find out if your complaint is about our failure to provide you with the service you should expect. If it is, then we aim to put it right for you as soon as we can.

But there may be occasions were our customers are not happy about the Council Tax regulations. Unfortunately, Council Tax legislation is out of our powers to control as it is set by Central Government. Hopefully, we have provided you with sufficient information to understand how Council Tax works, but if you would like more information please contact us at Council Tax.

You may wish to complain about the Council’s policy or practices. Whilst we cannot guarantee that we will change these policies or practices, we will explain the reasons to you.

You may wish to complain that you are not the person responsible for paying your Council Tax, or that we should give you a discount or exemption or allow you a disablement reduction. These sort of complaints are dealt with through the appeals procedures.
