Scrutiny
There are five Scrutiny and Policy Development Boards that monitor and evaluate decisions affecting services and the performance of officers. This can include looking at the decisions made by the Cabinet and certain officer decisions. The Boards can make recommendations to the Cabinet or Full Council on changes to policy and the provision of Council services.
The Boards cover the following areas:-
Meetings are held in the Town Hall, Pinstone Street and are open to members of the public.

Getting involved in Scrutiny
We are keen to involve members of the public and organisations outside the Council in the work of the Scrutiny Boards. This can either be through representatives from particular groups or organisations being invited to contribute to a particular scrutiny exercise or receiving contributions from members of the public on items in a Scrutiny Board's work programme. The Scrutiny Boards also welcome any suggestions you may have for potential scrutiny items.
