Planning and Highways Area Boards

Role of the Planning Boards

The Boards act as a local planning and highway authority for the Council. They are responsible for:
 
  • planning applications
  • conservation areas
  • tree preservation areas
  • enforcement action 
  • some highway, footpath, road safety and traffic management issues.

You can also use this link to planning applications online that allows you to view details of planning applications.
 

Speaking at Planning Boards

Information is available on your chance to speak on planning applications at meetings of the Planning and Highways Area Boards. The link will take you to the Development Control pages.
 

Substitute Members

The Boards have substitute Members and these are Cllrs David Baker, Sylvia Dunkley, Cllr Gill Furniss, Keith Hill, Martin Lawton, Pat Midgley, Shaffaq Mohammed, Chris Rosling-Josephs, Andrew Sangar and Ian Saunders.
