DECISION: To authorise the Assistant Chief Executive, Legal and Governance to complete any necessary legal documentation in respect of Sheffield’s Major Events Core Programme 2007/08.

CABINET MEMBERS: Councillor Tim Rippon
DECISION: To (a) agree the procurement strategy for the appointment of consultants to carry out a study of Open Space, Outdoor Sports and Recreation Provision for Sheffield; and
(b) approve the criteria for evaluating tenders outlined in paragraph 3.2 of the report.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/HEAD OF SERVICE: Assistant Chief Executive, Policy and Performance
CABINET MEMBERS: Councillor Steve Jones
DECISION: To note that the appointment of programme management consultants as envisaged is likely to promote and improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of Sheffield and therefore that MACE Ltd be appointed by the Council from 1st April, 2007 to 30th September, 2007 subject to (a) the terms of reference as detailed in the Contract Schedule 1 and attached at appendix B (b) the terms of the appointment being agreed by the Assistant Chief Executive, Policy and Performance, in consultation with the Head of Procurement, Partnering and Programme Management and the Assistant Chief Executive, Legal and Governance and (c) a maximum contract sum of £140,000 (inclusive of all costs and expenses and net of VAT) being agreed to be financed as set out in items 4 and 5 of the report.

DECISION: To (a) instruct the MVA Consultancy Ltd to develop the final version of the Sheffield and Rotherham Multi-Modal Transport Model (and undertake subsequent option testing) under an extension to their existing 3-Year Strategic Transport Modelling Framework Agreement with Sheffield City Council and Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and (b) approve the CP Form Associated with this project.
