EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/HEAD OF SERVICE: Deputy Director of Corporate Resources
CABINET MEMBER: Councillor Steve Jones
DECISION: It is recommended that (a) Heads of Service note a potential overspend of £600,000 on the Chief Executive’s Directorate budget, without further management action (b) The Head of Facilities Management and Transport Services be required to produce a detailed report on this service area to a Directorate Management Team meeting in early September, identifying proposed management actions to address the potential deficit (c) Heads of Service take appropriate action to manage the impact of in-year pressures to ensure that at least a balanced budget is achieved (d) The Director of Resources provides an update report in October 2007 in line with the reporting requirements of the Financial Framework, which incorporates the impact of management actions being identified by the Head of Facilities and Transport Services (e) Heads of Service note that performance on creditor payments at 95% was in line with the Corporate target (f) Heads of Service note the sustained improvement in debtor performance which at 93% was 3% above the Corporate target and (g) Heads of Service note that the key contents of this report will be incorporate into a report on the overall Council’s Revenue Budget in August and be reported to the Strategic Resources and Performance Scrutiny Board in September.

DECISION: To approve the project form CPA and the implementation of the Development roadworks in respect of the Granville Road Section 278 Highway Works.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR/HEAD OF SERVICE: Executive Director Children and Young People
CABINET MEMBER: Councillor Harry Harpham
DECISION: To approve the purchase of sales consultancy up to £35,000 to aid market testing, sustainability and continuation of SyeLP following collapse of a procurement under the competitive dialogue process. The consultancy would be provided from October 2007 to July 2008 and Objective 1/matched funds are already in place to cover this requirement.

DECISION: To give authority for the purchase of e-learning content licences from an existing supplier, Learn4Business, at a cost of £26,600 to provide a continuance of service to South Yorkshire SMEs to 31st July 2008.
