NATURE OF DECISION: That (a) the action of the Project Manager in issuing preliminary instructions for the pre-order of the materials and sub-contact packages required in order to maintain the Barkers Pool and the City Hall programme be confirmed;
(b) authority be granted to accept the Stage 2 negotiated tender of Wrekin Construction Company with a target cost of £4,348,561.88 and an agreed maximum price of £4,525,411.88;
(c) authorisation be granted for the Assistant Head, Design and Project Management to issue a letter of acceptance for this project;
(d) approval be granted to the expenditure of £1,237,131 for the City Council Risk/Contingency and “Other” Work; and
(e) the spending profile be noted.

NATURE OF DECISION: That (a) authority be granted to accept the revised tender of Robinson and Birdsell Limited in the sum of £493,069.50 at the rates and prices in the Bill of Quantities contained in their tender for the demolition of the Grange Tower Block;
(b) authorisation be granted for the Assistant Head, Design and Project Management to issue a letter of acceptance for this project;
(c) approval be given to the expenditure of £71,000 for “Other Work” by way of direct order; and
(d) the spending profile be noted.
