NATURE OF DECISION:            That (a) authority be given to accept the tender of Contractor B, Techspan Systems Limited, in the sum of £260,290.30 for the rates and prices in the Schedule of Rates and Prices contained in their tender in respect of Sheffield Traffic Control and Information Systems - City Centre Phase 1; (b) the Project Report Form CP Form A detailing the total cost of the works appended to the report be approved and the Capital Programme be updated accordingly; (c) authority be given for the Assistant Head; Design and Project Management to issue a letter of acceptance for the Project; (d) approval be given to the expenditure of £139,959.70 for "Other Payments" by way of direct order; and (e) the spending profile be noted.

NATURE OF DECISION:            That approval be given to the use of UNICUS Consultancy as a preferred supplier to develop and deliver leadership development within the Council.

NATURE OF DECISION:            That (a) the contents of the report on the provision of South Yorkshire Passenger Transport - Home to School Bus Service Contracts, be noted; (b) approval be given to the proposed Service Level Agreement (SLA) between the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive and Sheffield City Council and its introduction with effect from 1st April, 2005, subject to similar agreements being given by Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster Councils, including changes in transport subsidy arrangements; (c) should the four Districts fail to accept individually the recommendations of the Education Transport Officer Group as set out in the draft SLA, then approval be given to the financial impact set out in the report; and (d) in the event that the conclusion set out in (c) above is reached a further report confirming arrangements between the four Districts and the SYPTE is provided for information.
