NATURE OF DECISION:            That (a) authority be given (i) to accept the tender of Tilen Electrics Limited in the sum of £585,630.22 with a variation of price clause deleted except for tax fluctuations in respect of school rewires 2004/2005 and (ii) for the Assistant Head: Design and Project Management to issue a letter of acceptance for the Project; and (b) the spending profile be noted.

NATURE OF DECISION:  To confirm the exercise of delegated powers by the Head of Street Force in purchasing the bridges and structures modules of the CONFIRM Street Maintenance Management Package from Southbank Systems plc in the sum of £16,743.

NATURE OF DECISION:            That (a) confirmation be given to the action of the Project Manager in the issue of preliminary instructions for early enabling works required in order to maintain the Barkers Pool and City Hall Precinct Programme; (b) authority be given for the Assistant Head:  Design and Project Management to issue further instructions for Phase 1A and 1B of the works to commence on 18th October, 2004 and for the ordering of materials in advance of the final contract award, in accordance with interim negotiations and approved funding, in the sum of £800,000; (c) the spending profile be noted.

NATURE OF DECISION:            That (a) authority be given to the Director of Legal and Administrative Services to apply for a scheme to permit the disposal of the Sutherland Road Playground resulting in the creation of a new charity; (b) the proposed object be extended to include investment into other recreation space in Sheffield; and (c) the draft scheme, when received, be advertised in accordance with the relevant legislation.
