NATURE OF DECISION: That, based on the evaluating procedure set out in paragraph 5 in relation to the report on Burngreave and Fir Vale Surestart (a) authority to accept the Stage 1 notional tender of Contractor E, Quarmby Construction (Special Projects) Limited to undertake the Stage 2 duties at a fixed price of £1000 be granted; (b) subject to the approval of the Health and Safety documentation (referred to in paragraph 5.4) authorisation for the Assistant Head, Design and Project Management, to issue a letter of acceptance to enable Stage 2 negotiations to commence on 12th August, 2004, be granted; (c) authority to accept the tender for the Enabling Works of Contractor E, Quarmby Construction (Special Projects) Limited with an agreed maximum price of £105,913.10 (including performance bond) with the variation of price clause deleted except for tax fluctuations, be granted; and (d) subject to the approval of the Health and Safety documentation (referred to in paragraph 5.4) authorisation for the Assistant Head, Design and Project Management, to issue a letter of acceptance for the enabling works to enable the works to commence on 6th September, 2004, be granted.

NATURE OF DECISION: To authorise the Director of Legal and Administrative Services to conclude appropriate documentation to grant the Sheffield Industrial Museums Trust an extension or replacement of their current 25 year lease to provide for a clear 30 year term in order that the terms of an award from the Heritage Lottery Fund can be met in respect of a Project to resource the development of storage and conservation facilities of Kelham Island Industrial Museum and vary the repair and maintenance responsibilities as outlined in the report.
