NATURE OF DECISION:  To approve the appointment of Atkins Air and Noise plc as the preferred bidder to develop the implementation strategy for Sheffield's Air Quality Action Plan and to seek endorsement of that proposal.

NATURE OF DECISION:   That, based on the evaluation procedures set out in paragraph 5 of the report in relation to Arbourthorne Nursery, Infant and Junior School replacement (a) authority be given (i) to accept the Stage 1 Notional Tender of Contractor A, Kier Sheffield LLP, to undertake the Stage 2 duties for the fixed price of £15,133.42  and (ii) for the Acting Head of Sheffield Design and Property to issue a letter of acceptance to enable Stage 2 negotiations to commence on 22nd September, 2003.

NATURE OF DECISION:   That (a) authority be given (i) to accept the revised tender of Robinson and Birdsell Limited in the sum of £358,079 at the rates and prices in the Bill of Quantities contained in their tender in respect of the demolition of Mickley Tower Block and (ii) to the Acting Head of Sheffield Design and Property to issue a letter of acceptance for the Project; (b) approval be given to the expenditure of £259,000 for "Other Work" by way of direct order; and (c) note the spending profile.
