NATURE OF DECISION: To approve the pattern of School Terms and Holidays for 2004/05 and 2005/06 as detailed in the report.

NATURE OF DECISION: That (a) authority be given (i) to accept the tender of Tilen Electrics Limited in the sum £437,533.86 with a variation of price clause deleted except for tax fluctuations in respect of School Rewires - 2003/04 and (ii) for the Acting Head of Sheffield Design and Property to issue a letter of acceptance for the Project; (b) approval be given to the expenditure of £40,000 for "Other Work" by way of direct order; and (c) the spending profile be noted.

NATURE OF DECISION: In relation to the Best Performing Council: Leadership Programme to Improve Service Delivery to note (a) that as part of its strategy to move from good to excellent and improve service delivery, the Council will establish a Senior Management Leadership Programme as detailed in the report, (b) and approve that the details concerning the development and delivery of the Programme will be finalised by the Chief Executive, (c) and approve that the Council will use external consultancy support from UNICUS to assist with the development and delivery of parts of the Programme, as detailed in the report and the final details of the Contract will be finalised by the Head of Corporate Human Resources, (d) and approve that the Head of Corporate Human Resources will award further contracts for consultancy support to assist with the provision of 360° feedback and facilitation of action learning sets, as described in the report and (e) and approve that the costs associated with the development and delivery of the Programme will be met within the Council's overall budget and approved Directorate spending limits and that all costs will be re-charged on a cost per participant basis to Directorates and then the re-charge will be approximately £1200 per participant for the whole Programme.

NATURE OF DECISION: That Ove Arup be instructed to undertake a study of access requirements in and around the Broad Lane area of the City Centre which will be sponsored jointly by the City Council, Sheffield One and Hammersons (Developers) as the proposed new retail quarter.

NATURE OF DECISION: That approval be given for the release of £332,600 to progress work on Dispersed Composting Network as outlined in the report and the Project Report Form CP4.
