Annual Council Meeting to be held Wednesday 17th May 2006

COUNCIL SUMMONS
 
 
Notice is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the Council of the
City of Sheffield will be held in the Council Chamber within the Town Hall,
Sheffield, on Wednesday, 17th May, 2006 at 11.30 a.m.
 
 
THE FOLLOWING BUSINESS IS PROPOSED TO BE TRANSACTED-
 
1.             To elect a Lord Mayor for the ensuing Year.
 
2.             To move a Vote of Thanks to the Retiring Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress
 
3.             To appoint a Deputy Lord Mayor for the ensuing year.
 
4.             To appoint the Leader of the Council and members of the Cabinet, Scrutiny and Policy and Development Boards, Regulatory Boards, the Standards Committee, Area Panels etc., together with Chairs etc of such bodies where appropriate, and representatives on other bodies and to other posts, for the year 2006/2007, to approve the Cabinet Portfolios and the terms of reference of the Boards and Panels etc., as necessary, and to affirm any other necessary arrangements for the implementation of the revised structures for 2006/2007.
