Community Assemblies
Seven Community Assemblies cover Sheffield, and change the way we deliver services in the city.
Each Community Assembly is made up of the local Councillors from four wards with a greater say in how services are delivered in neighbourhoods. Each Assembly has a budget and will ask communities how this should be spent on local projects.
Detailed information is available on the Community Assemblies, including a map of the areas, information on how to get involved and links to each Assembly website. They have replaced Area Panels that existed for more than a decade and will build upon their work with local groups and residents.
Community Assemblies work with local people to decide how services are provided to meet local needs and offer a range of ways for communities to get involved, including through local Councillors, at local events where you can discuss issues with councillors and services, contacting Assemblies via email and online and newsletters.
The formal meetings of each Community Assembly take place at least four times a year are open to the public and information is available on attending meetings.
