Report of: Area Coordinator
Section 106 Quarterly Report
1. Purpose of Report
To provide members of the South East Area Panel with a summary of Section 106 information for the area.
2. Background
Section 106 Planning obligation agreements are reached as a part of the planning permission process.
Planning obligations can be satisfied by the developer carrying out work themselves or by paying a sum of money to the SCC to fulfil that obligation.
A summary report containing information with regard to Section 106 agreements will be available on a quarterly basis.
3. Section 106 Information
Information with regard to Section 106 agreements reached in the South East area over a period of 12 years is attached.
There may be inaccuracies because of the different recording methods used over time. These can be corrected.
Not all Section 106 agreements will be implemented. This is because not all the developments take place. Agreements are negotiated at planning permission stage, but payment instalments are not begun until development begins.
