  1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE FROM MEMBERS OF THE PANEL

  2. PUBLIC QUESTIONS AND PETITIONS
    To receive any questions or petitions from members of the public.

  3. IMPLICATIONS OF THE FATAL SHOOTING IN BURNGREAVE
    To receive presentations from the following people on (a) the implications for their service/agency/area of responsibility with the matters relating to the recent death and (b) what they are doing to prevent a reoccurrence and to respond to the local circumstances:-      
    (i)   Paul Makin, Deputy Director, Children and Young People’s Directorate
    (ii)  John Evans, Chief Executive, Sheffield Futures (Also attending  – David Gault, Head of Youth Services and Vernon Colleymore, District Manager).
    (iii) Chief Inspector Jon Ekwubiri, South Yorkshire Police (Also attending – Inspector Adie McWalter and Lisa Moran, Burngreave Safer Neighbourhood Office).
    (iv) Ronny Tucker, Senior Manager, Youth Offending Service, Neighbourhoods and Community Care Directorate.
    (v)  Sarah Banks, Partnership Manager, Safer Communities Partnership.
    (vi)  Paul Billington, Head of Service, Activity Sheffield.

    Contributions have also been invited from:-
    Pastor Andrew Rashford-Hewitt, Seventh Day Adventist Church.
    Rob Smith and Pam Grant, Community Activists.
    John Clark, Chief Executive, Burngreave New Deal for Communities.


  4. ROLLING ACTION CHECKLIST
    To note the Rolling Action Checklist from meetings up to 4th October, 2007.

  5. DATES OF FUTURE MEETINGS/EVENTS
    To note that (a) the Area Panel New Year’s Honours event will be held on Friday, 25th January, 2008, at 6.00 p.m. in the Town Hall and (b) the next Area Panel meeting will be held on Wednesday, 20th February, 2008, from 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. at St. James Church, Abbeyfield Road and Scott Road.
