OUTSTANDING QUESTIONS

R Though on the list of potential sites this is not imminent. There are no plans for Osborne Rd.
Q Was there any further information in connection with the proposed closure of the post office on Sharrowvale Road?
R A second letter has been sent to Post Office Counters and we are awaiting a response
ISSUES
WALKING THE PATCH
The following issues came out of a recent walkabout in Highfields
· The land at the side of the Royal Standard pub on St Marys Way will be cleared as part of the construction of the Granville Rd. Gyratory system. Work is due to commence in January 2007.
· Obstruction caused by illegal parking around the Duchess Rd. Area will be picked up by the roll out of the ‘inner doughnut’ parking scheme which hopefully will cover this area within 18 months. In the meantime the Police and Parking Services are being requested to take action on clear obstruction.
· The Duchess Rd. Multi Use games Area (MUGA) will be the subject of some urgent work to determine its future and potential refurbishment.
· A bench will be installed at the Lancing Rd. Car Park as part fot eh Area Panels Environment Project
SHEFFIELD UNIVERSITY SPONSOR LITTER BINS
Sheffield University have sponsored 5 litter bins. Two will be near to Weston Park and three will be placed in the centre of Broomhill.
