Cleaner: What You Do
Over 100 friends groups and community organisations across the city work with us to keep Sheffield clean. Countless individuals also do their bit every day, to make sure that our city is a clean place for all to enjoy.
In the past 12 months, you have:
- Taken part in 85 ‘Bring Out Your Rubbish Days’
- Taken part in 12 ‘Weeks of Action’ to clean up neighbourhoods
- Given over 4,700 hours of your time since last April, to help to keep our communities litter free
- Achieved two silver gilt, six silver and a bronze award for your Yorkshire in Bloom community entries, in the village, town and community categories
- Achieved six silver gilt, two silver and a bronze award for the categories that include charities, business, youth and neighbourhoods
- Signed up to the Sheffield Graffiti Charter - 146 businesses have signed up as members
- Taken part in the Lord Mayor’s Awards competition, with a record number of entries getting the top gold award
- Individuals, groups, businesses and organisations joined in with the May ‘Environment Weeks’ activities, the largest environment events programme in the country
