Wind Energy Feasibility Study

The Council’s proposed feasibility study into the potential for generating wind energy at Westwood Country Park in High Green has been cancelled.

 

The Liberal Democrat’s Cabinet member for Climate Change and Local Environment, Cllr Shaffaq Mohammed, informed officers that the project should not progress and that other locations should be investigated.

 

Sheffield City Council remains committed to promoting renewable energy generation and will be looking in detail at other suitable sites where similar schemes could be developed.
