Get on board the newest attraction in Sheffield and see the sights of the city from a new height - almost 20,000 people have so far visited the Wheel of Sheffield since it opened.
Towering almost 60 metres high (197 feet), the Wheel of Sheffield gives a bird's eye view for miles around.
The Wheel operates seven days a week from:
- 10.00 am - 11.00 pm Sunday to Friday and
- 9.00 am - 11.00 pm on Saturdays
Tickets are priced at £6.50 with discounts for children, senior citizens and students. Family tickets are available from £18.00 and are available online at World Tourist Attractions or in person from the Tourist Information Centre (telephone 0114 221 1900). Book online and you get a 10% discount.

Visitors to the wheel will receive a brief introduction to the facilities available, then enter one of the 42 fully enclosed, climate controlled capsules, before being gently lifted to a height of almost 60 metres for spectacular panoramic views of the city and beyond.
Lasting approximately 13 minutes, the wheel experience also features a commentary pointing out local landmarks and places of interest. A VIP capsule with DVD player, glass floor and champagne on ice is available for those wanting to mark a special occasion or make their journey even more memorable.
The wheel is operated by World Tour Attractions (WTA), part of the Great City Attractions Group which is the global market leader in operating giant observation wheels, attracting many millions of visitors every year. The project is creating up to 40 new jobs for people in Sheffield, including engineering and customer service roles.
Great City Attractions currently operates four other observation wheels in the UK in Manchester, Weston Super Mare, Windsor and Belfast as well as previously operating wheels in other leading UK cities including Glasgow, Birmingham and York, along with some international sites including Paris, Berlin, Brussels, Brisbane and Perth.

Disabled Access
We welcome visitors of all disabilities to The Wheel of Sheffield. Wheelchair users please note that the door width is 74cm, however standard wheelchairs are available on site.
