European Mobility Week 2008

A week about travel

We all need clean air for our own health and for the sake of the environment.  One of the main causes of air pollution is how we travel.

European Mobility Week is about how we can do things differently.  Why not use public transport to get to work?  How about cycling or walking for short trips?

From 16th to 22nd September 2008, European towns and cities will be showing how we can travel better and create less pollution.  Plenty of events are going on in Sheffield with the Council sponsoring and taking part in many of them.

Travel Pledge Prize Draw

Make a travel pledge to change how you travel (at least once a week) and you could win one of the following prizes:
  • Concert tickets
  • First Month ticket
  • Stagecoach Megarider week tickets
  • Cycle vouchers
  • Other goodies, e.g. day tickets and car share notepads
The pledge is mainly for car drivers pledging to travel by bus, bicycle, walking or car share for all or some of their journeys.  But if you travel that way already and want to pledge to continue that's fine too.
