Self Directed Support

What is self directed support?

Self directed support is a way of delivering social care that helps people to be in more control of their support. It's about returning control to people, so they can make decisions about the support they receive, and manage their support. This means a move away from services provided nine to five, five days a week, meaning support is provided closer to when it is needed.
