Hospice Care
What care is provided at a hospice?
Hospices provide care specifically for terminally ill people and give support to their carers both in the hospice and at home.
Admission is arranged through your doctor or hospital consultant. Some private care homes also specialise in care of the terminally ill. Your doctor or hospital consultant will know of such homes in your area.
Sheffield's only hospice is St Luke's.
Where can I get more information?
You can visit the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organisation.
