Equipment and Adaptations

Can I get help from Social Care Services?

You can ask the Equipment & Adaptations service for help if you need to find safer ways to do everyday tasks. They can give advice over the telephone or during a home visit.

The Equipment & Adaptations service might be able to provide adaptations to your home, such as a ramp or stairlift. We might be able to give you equipment to make your home easier to live in, like a high seat to help you use the toilet. We won't provide most equipment that you could buy yourself for under £50, unless it's something which needs fitting.

Equipment & Adaptations Standards
