Proposed changes to Direct Payments: feedback
If you receive Direct Payments from Sheffield City Council, you should have received a letter about changes we'd like to make to the way we ask for your financial contribution towards your care.
At the moment, your Direct Payments cover the full cost of your care. You then pay back any financial contribution that you've been assessed as able to pay. In the future, we'd like to take off your financial contribution before we make your Direct Payment. Some of our Direct Payments users have already chosen to use this method, and they find it much easier to manage.
We asked for your feedback about the proposed changes by 16 March 2007.
We've received lots of comments about these changes. We'll consider all the comments we've received before making a final decision about the changes. We'll publish the final decision as soon as we can.
If you need any further information about the proposed changes, please contact our Financial Assessment, Payment and Recovery Team on 0114 273 5591.
