There are four teams that deal with financial assessment, payment and recovery. Details of what each team does and how to contact them are below. The Fairer Charging Policy and our Customer Standards can be downloaded from the bottom of the page.

 

We provide financial assessments for adult service users in receipt of residential and non-residential services, to assess whether they can afford to contribute towards the cost of their care.

We make payments to the external providers of care services for adult service users, including residential and nursing homes, day centres and home support agencies.

We provide a billing, collection and recovery service for adult service users in receipt of residential and non-residential services.

We act as executor and arrange funerals for service users who die without anyone willing, available or capable to act on their behalf. We also search and secure the properties of service users who have died or fallen suddenly ill. In addition we act as financial agent for service users resident in council owned residential care homes.
